1 Gyeongbokgung(Palace)

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung was the main royal palace and heart of the Joseon Dynasty for 500 years. The remaining halls include Geunjeongjeon, where official ceremonies were held, and the private quarters of the king and queen. The National Palace Museum of Korea - which showcases royal culture - and the National Folk Museum of Korea - where the life cycles of Koreans in the olden days can be observed - are within its precincts.

2 Gwanghwamun Square

This is a 550m-long, 34m-wide square constructed at Sejong-ro in 2009. Statues of the two most respected historical figurea in Korea - King Sejong the Great and Admiral Yi Sun-Shin - stand in the square.

3 Sejong Center for the Performing Arts

This is a performance theater representing Korea and also a cultural complex for exhibitions and cultural experiences.

3-1 The Story of King Sejong / The Story of Admiral Yi Sun-shin

Exhibitions on the lives and achievements of King Sejong the Great and Admiral Yi Sun-sin.

4 Cheonggye Plaza

This is a plaza built where the Cheonggyecheon(Stream) starts. The plaza is widely known as the site where large groups of people gather to cheer for the Korean teams during major international sporting events such as the World Cup.
